Photos: Weather spotters confirm tornado in northwest Nebraska

By News Channel NebraskaMARSLAND - A severe thunderstorm in the Nebraska Panhandle spawned a tornado northwest of Hemingford Thursday evening.
The National Weather Service office in Cheyenne issued at tornado warning for north central Box Butte and southeast Dawes Counties at 5:45 p.m.
The tornado was confirmed by weather spotters and was located over the Box Butte Dam at one point in the evening. Baseball size hail was also reported with the storm.
