Medical Helicopter Responds After Highway 50 Crash
Waverly driver injured after pickup hits tree

SYRACUSE – The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office investigated an injury accident Saturday on Highway 50 near F Road.
An accident report says a Ford pickup, driven by 50-year-old Sean Gleason of Waverly, went off the right side of the highway and returned to the road, crossing the centerline and going into the east ditch. The truck hit an embankment and went airborne. The front of the truck near the passenger side struck a tree.
Syracuse Rescue took the driver to Syracuse Area Health. Gleason was transported by medical helicopter to Bergan Mercy in serious condition.
