KIMBALL -- Ana Schmidl received the Kimball Health Services Employee of the Month for October. 

Schmidl has been an employee of KHS for seven years. She started at the Kimball Clinic where she worked for a year-and-a-half, then she transferred to the Pine Bluffs Clinic where she works as an admission specialist. 

“[The award] means a lot to me because you think you’re just doing your everyday job but to know that people notice that you care for the patients, that you do your best every day and try to do your best for the patients – it means a lot,” she said. 

Schmidl says she loves the work environment and teamwork that her coworkers provide at the clinic. 

“My coworkers here are amazing; we help each other out so that we can care for our patients and provide the best service we can, and our main goal here is patient care,” she said. “You go above and beyond to help and assist – the same with my coworkers – it’s a good environment.” 

She was nominated for her award by Jessica Miller and Tracy Hottell in the KHS Patient Accounts Department.

"[Ana] stepped in when the clinic was short-staffed for a week,” their nomination read. “Her dedication, flexibility and work ethic kept the clinic moving smoothly. Thank you for all you do!”
