One Dead, One Critically Injured In Colfax County Motorcycle Accident
COLFAX COUNTY - A man is dead and a woman is critically injured following a motorcycle accident in Colfax County on Saturday.
Colfax County Attorney Denise Kracl says Colfax County Communications received a 911 call around 4:52 PM reporting a crash with injury on Highway 91 near the Highway 15 intersection. The Colfax County Sheriff's Department and Clarkson Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, and located a male and female passenger who had been traveling westbound on a motorcycle.
The motorcycle had left the roadway into a cornfield, and ejected both the driver and passenger. The driver, 53-year-old Paul Uher of rural Dodge, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger was identified of 63-year-old Theresa Uher of Dodge, who was taken via medical helicopter to a higher level of care.
Kracl says Uher's condition was considered critical but stable at last report. The matter is currently under investigation, and alcohol has not been ruled out as a factor of the crash at this time.
