SIDNEY, Neb. — The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for Cheyenne and Kimball counties along Interstate 80, warning drivers of significantly reduced visibility Friday morning.
Visibility may drop to a quarter mile or less in areas of dense fog, the NWS said. The advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m.
Officials caution that the low visibility could make travel hazardous, particularly on I-80 and surrounding highways. Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights and maintain extra distance between vehicles.
