Two arrested after SWAT-assisted search warrant in Big Springs
BIG SPRINGS - Two people were arrested Friday morning after the Deuel County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a home in Big Springs.
Deputies served the warrant shortly after 9 a.m. at 604 Chestnut Street. According to the sheriff’s office, Darrell Hyberg III, 26, and Taylor Grafford, 38, were taken into custody without incident.
Both were arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing law enforcement.
As a precaution, South Platte School was placed on lockdown during the operation. The sheriff’s office said the lockdown was lifted after the scene was secured.
The investigation is ongoing.
