Vehicle fire south of Sutherland after rollover crash

SUTHERLAND - A woman escaped with minor injuries after a single-vehicle rollover south of Sutherland on Saturday evening that ended with the vehicle engulfed in flames, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 6:55 p.m. Nov. 1 to West Power Road, south of Sutherland, for the report of a rollover crash. Investigators said the vehicle caught fire after coming to rest, but the lone female occupant was able to get out before the flames spread.
Hershey Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and quickly contained the fire, preventing it from spreading beyond the vehicle.
Speed is suspected to have been a factor in the crash, authorities said. The sheriff’s office did not release the woman’s name.
The investigation remains ongoing.
