Savannah Bananas to play at Memorial Stadium and Haymarket Park

One of the nation’s most iconic stadiums will host one of the hottest current sports and entertainment attractions when the Savannah Bananas visit Memorial Stadium on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The game at Memorial Stadium is one of more than 70 stops on the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour announced by the club on Thursday evening. First pitch on June 13 will be at 7 p.m. with the Bananas taking on the Firefighters. The game at Memorial Stadium will be one of two Bananas games in Lincoln as the team will play at Haymarket Park on Thursday, June 11.
“This is an exciting day for Nebraska Athletics and the City of Lincoln,” Nebraska Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said. “Since we have begun pursuit of large stadium-type shows for Memorial Stadium, the Savannah Bananas have been consistently mentioned as an event Nebraskans were excited to see in person. This will be a great event for families to enjoy as summer 2026 kicks off in Lincoln.”
Banana Ball has become the fastest and most entertaining game in sports. With its fast-paced rules and emphasis on continuous play, Banana Ball delivers a high-octane and entertainment-packed game that keeps both players and fans on their toes. Banana Ball has 11 unique rules. The most notorious rule is that if a fan catches a foul ball, it counts as an out. The Bananas roster is comprised primarily of former minor league and college baseball players.
The Bananas played in front of sold-out crowds in more than 50 cities during their 2025 schedule. The 2025 schedule included a stop at Clemson University’s Memorial Stadium which drew 81,000 fans, the largest attendance in Banana Ball history.
Nebraska has a recent history of large crowds at Memorial Stadium for non-football events. In August of 2021, nearly 90,000 fans filled the stands for a Garth Brooks concert. Two years later in August of 2023, Nebraska drew 92,003 fans for Volleyball Day in Nebraska in Memorial Stadium, setting a United States record for the largest crowd for a women’s sporting event.
