Firefighters respond to reported smoke in home attic
No injuries were reported when a dog accidentally ignited a kitchen stove burner, lighting a pizza box on the stove.

Firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from an attic at a home in the 2600 block of Laredo Lane Monday.

SIDNEY -- Firefighters and EMS crews responded to a report of smoke coming from the attic of a home in the 2600 block of Laredo Lane today.
The 2:56 p.m. call resulted in firefighters finding a stove fire. According to Fire Chief Matt Butts, it is believed a dog got on the stove and accidentally turned on a burner which then ignited a pizza box.
Chief Butts said damage was limited to the kitchen.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
