WATCH: Nebraska Basketball begins fall practice
LINCOLN, Neb. - After falling short of the Big Ten tournament in 2024-25, the Nebraska Men's Basketball team rolled to a College Basketball Crown championship, but is looking to take another step this year.
With 10 returners, Fred Hoiberg and the Huskers have their sights set on a return to the NCAA Tournament, with the hopes of finding their first tournament win.
Nebraska will welcome back a dominant force inside, with the return of senior Rienk Mast who missed all of last season after a knee surgery. The Huskers also welcome back key contributors such as Connor Essegian, Cale Jacobsen, Berke Buyuktuncel, and Sam Hoiberg.
As far as newcomers, Iowa transfer Pryce Sandfort is expected to see significant playing time, while Jamarques Lawrence makes a return to Lincoln after spending last season at Rhode Island.
Nebraska's 2025 schedule features home contests with Creighton, Michigan State, Oregon, and Illinois, while the Huskers will open the Big Ten at home for the first time under Fred Hoiber, hosting Wisconsin on Dec. 10.
