KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It wasn't easy, but Nebraska is off to a 1-0 start to the 2025 season by virtue of a 20-17 win over Cincinnati.

It was a sea of red at Arrowhead in Kansas City that saw Nebraska survive a late comeback from the Bearcats.

Defensive back Malcolm Hartzog Jr. secured the win with a game-sealing interception with under a minute to play. Huskers quarterback Dylan Raiola recorded 243 passing yards with two touchdowns, one to Nyziah Hunter and one to Dane Key.

Running back Emmett Johnson also recorded 108 yards on the ground.

Nebraska returns to Lincoln for the home opener next Saturday, taking on Akron.
