LINCOLN, Neb. - The injury bug bit Nebraska in a big way in the first week of fall camp. 

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule announced that tight end Mac Markway has re-torn his ACL, likely sidelining him for significant time. Markway is an LSU transfer who sat out much of 2024 with the first instance of the torn ACL. 

Markway had been succeeding in the first days of camp and Rhule called the injury "tremendously devastating."

Playing time out of the Huskers tight end room now opens up for Luke Lindenmeyer, Heinrich Haarberg, and Carter Nelson.
