Rep. Mike Flood to host town hall in Seward on May 27

SEWARD, Neb. — U.S. Rep. Mike Flood will host his second town hall in a three-month span later in May.
Flood (R., Neb.) announced Friday that his next town hall event will be on Tuesday, May 27 in Seward. The event will run from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Seward High School auditorium.
A news release says the event is open to the public and Flood’s staff will be on site to assist with challenges regarding federal agencies, military academy nominations, scheduling requests and other needs.
Flood hosted a town hall in Columbus on March 18. The event drew more than 200 people, many of whom jeered, booed and shouted angry demands at the congressman. The Columbus event lasted 1.5 hours.
U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts hosted three town hall events in April. Both Flood and Ricketts have avoided hosting town halls this year in Lincoln or Omaha, which are the state’s largest cities. Seward is about 25 miles west of Lincoln.
