NORFOLK - The 2025 Great American Comedy Festival will close out a weekend of laughs with a jam-packed slate of comedians from all over the world.

Chip Chantry, Eunji Kim, Ali Kolbert, and Cameron Logsdon will be the featured performers of the annual Gala on Saturday, June 14th at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk.

Chip Chantry is a stand up comedian and television writer. Formerly a 4th grade teacher, Chip left the classroom to pursue comedy and writing. He has written for “Crazy Talk”, a comedy/talk series for NBC Universal and the syndicated series “Whacked Out Sports’. He most recently wrote on the NatGeo series “Howie Mandel’s Animals Doing Things”. Chip is a recurring guest on the “Doug Loves Movies” and “Todd Glass Show” Podcasts. He has opened for national headliners such as Dave Chappelle, Bob Saget, and Tig Notaro. In addition to performing on Saturday, Chip will be hosting the festival’s Friday Theatre show.

Eunji Kim is a comedian and writer based in Chicago. Most recently, she appeared as a recurring Judge on the Hulu Unscripted Series “Best in Dough”. Other recent television credits include a recurring role on NBC’s “Chicago Med/ Chicago Fire”. You can also see her currently performing standup on her co-headlining tour 2 KIMS AND FRIENDS, with friend and comedian Peter S. Kim. She also co-hosts The Podcast “2 Kims 1 Pod”.

Ali Kolbert is a comedian and actress who was a series regular on the truTV series “Top Secret Videos”. Ali has also performed on “The Tonight Show”, “A Little Late with Lilly Singh”, “The Today Show”, TruTV’s “Comedy Knockout”, and NBC’s “Bring the Funny.” She performs stand-up comedy nightly in NYC bars and clubs, where she was one of the youngest comics passed at the Comedy Cellar.

Cameron Logsdon is a dynamic force in comedy, captivating over 2.5 million followers with his hilarious content. Cameron’s viral videos have amassed millions of views and likes, making him a social media sensation. His talent has earned him spots on Access Hollywood, NBC’s Late Night Writer's Workshop, DropoutTV’s "Make Some Noise," The Tamron Hall Show, and many more national and international platforms. His unique perspective, shaped by his upbringing in Omaha and experiences as a mixed-race individual and former teen father, resonates deeply with audiences, making his stand-up relatable and impactful.

"We started making a concerted effort to bring in some accomplished comedians with Nebraska ties last year,” said festival executive director Pat Janssen. “Cam Logsdon is blowing up internationally, but he is still based right here in Nebraska. He's regularly doing interviews for international shows out of his home in Omaha. He's become heavily in demand. Even though he's only two hours away, I wasn't sure he'd be available, but I'm so glad he is."

The Saturday Gala will be headlined by comedy legend Yakov Smirnov and hosted by Adam Tiller, who is also performing during the Friday Theatre Show. While Tiller is based in Seattle, he also has family ties to Nebraska.

“It just makes so much sense to have people with Nebraska roots at a festival honoring Johnny Carson,” Janssen said.

The annual festival opened in 2008 to honor the legacy of Norfolk’s favorite son, Johnny Carson, who was host of NBC’s “Late Night Show Starring Johnny Carson” for over 25 years. It begins with the family comedy magic show on Thursday, June 12th, and continues with the Friday Theatre Show on Friday June 13th along with the Friday Late Show at Norfolk’s District Events Center.

The Great American Comedy Festival is also made possible with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
