Fire crews respond to car fire in Fairbury late Monday night

FAIRBURY, NE — Authorities in Fairbury respond to a car fire late Monday night. The call came in around 10:30 p.m. for a vehicle in flames just a few blocks from downtown Fairbury.

FAIRBURY, NE — Authorities in Fairbury responded to a car fire late Monday night.

The call came in around 10:30 p.m. for a vehicle in flames just a few blocks from downtown Fairbury.

Crews arrived at the scene near 3rd and H streets to find a silver SUV parked in a driveway on fire.

The flames were gone by about 11 p.m., but smoke could still be seen coming from the engine bay.

Crews had H street blocked off from 3rd to 4th streets for a short time Monday night while responding to the blaze.
